Pond and Baby Fish

Was outside looking at the pond and saw little fish swimming around. So I decided to try and capture them on the camera. The only ones that are easily seen is the bigger fish; some of the little fish are as small as ants. Of course camera outside had to take other pictures of the pond. The water lily is in full bloom, and the Hosta flowers opened up today.
Amazing how peaceful and relaxing the pond is.

Got two different projects ready to be stitched down with the machine. The patriotic water can I hope to be able to get stitched tomorrow. So that I can get it done before the 4th of July.

In the Mail

I have been anxiously awaiting a pattern from Pat Sloan called "Times Remembered." It showed up in today’s mail. Now to go decide on colors and background fabrics. Seriously thinking about do this in black, red and white. But there are some pieces that just would not work in that color way. Hum decisions, decisions. Guess I'll have to go to the stash and fondle it, while seeing if anything speaks to me for this quilt. Or maybe I should just visit LQS.

First things first I better get my Power Point presentation homework done.

Oh got one of nine bluework snowmen done the other day. Also picked up snow fabric to put them together. The fabric I choose is behind the snowman. This pattern Singing the Blues is from the book "Tenderberry's Let it Snow." The blocks are 8" unfinished 7" finished, makes for fun embroidery work; this does make it easy to carry wherever I go.

Better get back to homework, no more procrastinating; or Monday at midnight I will be pulling my hair out.

First posting

I just finally decided to join the ranks of the blogging world. To have a place to share my adventurous in my quilting projects, along with other aspects of my families life. Yesterday I got the first block in the Vintage Valentine series. I cannot wait to get started on this BOM. Granted I have other quilty projects needing finished. But I cannot resist starting something new. ;-)
Will post a picture of my finished block when completed.
